On Monday, we asked readers to try and guess the asking price of this shingled north-of-the-highway house in East Hampton, located close to the train station.
Nearly half of our readers thought that it was asking somewhere between $2.5 million and $3 million, but it’s actually on the market for $3.4 million. About 26 percent of readers correctly guessed that it was asking somewhere between $3 million and $3.5 million.
Built in 2008, the traditional style home spans 4,500 square feet with five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. Interior features include multiple fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, a master suite with a walk-in closet, and a finished lower level. Outside, there’s a heated pool, pool house with a bathroom, and a one-car garage.
Three years ago, the property was purchased for $2.5 million. Susan Breitenbach from Corcoran represents the listing.
