Located at 268 Fairview Avenue in Montauk near the Montauk Downs Golf Course, a renovated A-frame has just sold for $1.15 million after listing less than two months ago.

At the very end of October, the stylish shingled house came on the market for $1,175,000 with Corcoran Group agents Michael Lynch and Betsy Cronley, was in contract by mid-November, and closed earlier this week for slightly under ask.

Originally built in 1966, the recent updates bring the house into the 21st century. Inside 1,500 square feet, there are three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, hardwood floors, high vaulted ceilings in the living room, an open floorplan, and a long kitchen with lots of countertop space. Sliding glass doors off the dining room lead to the outdoor deck.

Sited on a half-acre of land, there’s no pool outside, but there’s plenty of room to add one.

In 2014, the A-frame sold for $760,000. Considering it’s been renovated, we think selling for $1.15 million is pretty reasonable.

What do you think of the sale? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
