The East Hampton village property at 84 Egypt Lane—which was once on the market for $11.5 million about a year ago—has sold and closed for $8.15 million. It was most recently listed for $8.45 million with Corcoran Group agent Gary DePersia before it went into contract in October.

Spanning 5,360 square feet in size, the home has six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms with renovations completed by architect Steven Gambrel. Features include a large entry hall, multiple fireplaces, hardwood floors throughout, and a butler’s pantry off the kitchen. Patios, a two-story guest house, a heated gunite pool, a pergola-covered lounging area, and a two-car garage complete the 1.2-acre estate.

The property last sold for $7.5 million in 2010 before the existing structure was built in 2012.

Located south of the highway, this East Hampton village home is less than a 1-mile walk from the ocean at the end of Egypt Lane, and about a half-mile from village shops and restaurants.

What do you think of the home and the final sales price? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
