Bayview cottage with potential in Shinnecock Hills wants $1.9M

What do you think of the price?

The interiors of this waterview cottage at 13 Aqua Drive in Shinnecock Hills look like they’re in great shape—and we think that the 1,655-square-foot home could make a great fixer-upper.

Listed with Douglas Elliman agent Finley Behringer, the house is asking $1.9 million.

Sited on 0.4 acres of land overlooking Shinnecock Bay, the 1950 house includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, stainless steel appliances in the updated kitchen, hardwood floors, and a large bayview living room. There’s also a one-car garage in the basement.

If under 2,000 square feet is just too small, the listing claims that zoning would allow for a second story to be added to the existing house. There’s also room on the property to add a pool.

We want to hear from our readers: What do you think of the price? The Zillow price history states that it was listed for a lower $1,749,000 back in 2017, and estimates that it’s currently valued at around $915,000—but Zillow’s price estimates aren’t always accurate. Directly next door, the slightly larger house at 17 Aqua Drive—which has a pool and looks to have been updated a bit more recently—sold for $2.4 million in 2011.

Tell us your thoughts of the price in the comments.
