Located at 20 Union Street in Sag Harbor, the Summer White House of former President Chester A. Arthur has come back on the market for $13.5 million. It’s listed with Rima Mardoyan Smyth and Ryan Struble from Douglas Elliman, and with Susan Breitenbach from Corcoran.

The historic house—built in 1796—last sold back in 2014 for $3.5 million. After renovations were completed by notable architect Steven Gambrel, the owners put it back on the market in August of 2016 for $14.2 million, which is what it was asking until the listing was removed a year ago in November of 2017.

Chester A. Arthur served as the 21st President of the United States from 1881 until 1885.

The 5,900-square-foot Victorian includes six bedrooms and four bathrooms, multiple fireplaces, a Sonos sound system both inside and out, and a finished lower level with a wine cellar and media room. Outside, the 0.34-acre property hosts a gunite pool, a garage, terraces, and gardens.

The property is a short walking distance from Sag Harbor village shops and restaurants on Main Street, and less than a mile from Havens Beach.
