On Monday, we had readers try to guess the asking price of a shingled cottage-style house in north-of-the-highway Amagansett. Built in 2013, the 6,100-square-foot home is on the market for $3,595,000—which means about 34 percent of our readers were correct!

Another 29 percent of votes went to the lowest category between $2.8 million and $3.5 million.

In 2015, the property sold for $2.8 million. Located at 6 Southwood Court, the home is about 1 mile north of the Amagansett train station and about 2 miles from the ocean.

The house includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, an open floorplan, a fireplace in the living room, and French doors that lead outside. A second-level master suite includes a fireplace, private library, a balcony, and an ensuite bathroom.

On 2 acres of land, there’s a heated pool and a veranda.

What do you think of the price? Do you think that it’s a reasonable ask? Or do you think it should be lower? Tell us in the comments.
