What/Where: A shingled “cottage” in northern Amagansett
Size: 6,100 square feet, 2 acres

For this week’s PriceSpotter, Curbed is having readers try to guess the asking price of a handsome shingled cottage-style house spanning 6,100 square feet over nearly 2 acres of land in north-of-the-highway Amagansett.

Inside the estate, there are five bedrooms and five bathrooms, a two-story foyer, an open floorplan, and a chef’s kitchen. A fireplace and French doors leading outside are situated in the living room, while a two-bedroom guest suite provides guests with plenty of privacy. On the second level, the master suite includes a fireplace, private library, a private balcony, and an ensuite bathroom.

Outside, the property hosts a heated pool and a veranda.

We won’t reveal an address quite yet, but we will tell readers that the house is about 1 mile north of the Amagansett train station and about 2 miles from the ocean at the end of Atlantic Avenue.

The house was built in 2013, so it’s still relatively new. In 2015, the property sold for $2.8 million, so we’re going to start the guessing at the most recent sales price.
