What/Where: A modern barn style home in north-of-the-highway Water Mill
Size: 4,500 square feet, 0.92 acres
This modern barn style home in north-of-the-highway Water Mill has just come on the market, and we want our readers to try to guess the asking price for this week’s PriceSpotter.
Standing a comfortable 4,500 square feet in size, the home offers 30-foot vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, wood beams, wide plank flooring, and a double-sided fireplace in the great room. In the kitchen, there are two farmhouse sinks, two ovens, and two dishwashers, among other stainless steel appliances.
Also on the first level, a master wing sits adjacent to a screened-in porch for indoor-outdoor living. In total, there are four ensuite bedrooms and two half-bathrooms throughout the home, the remaining three guest bedrooms all situated on the second floor.
Outside, there’s a heated saltwater gunite pool, specimen trees, and professional landscaping. The home is sited north of the highway, but it’s close to village shops and restaurants. We won’t reveal an address quite yet, but we will tell readers that it’s just over 3 miles from the ocean at Flying Point Beach.
Set on nearly a full acre of land, the property sold as an empty lot back in 2004 for $425,000, and then the house was built in 2006. In 2008, the house went for $2.5 million, and now it’s back on the market 10 years later.
