The cozy shingled home at 9 Palmer Terrace in Sag Harbor recently sold for $2,475,000—which is pretty close to the most recent asking price of $2.55 million. According to the Zillow price history, the home first came on the market for a slightly higher $2,995,000 in 2016, and slowly came down in price over the next two years on the market.

A contract was signed at the end of August, and the sale closed earlier this week.

Even though the Nantucket-style home was built in 1988, we like that it has a 19th century feel to it that’s often found in Sag Harbor homes. It has wide plank hardwood floors throughout the home, wainscoting, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and French doors that lead outside, where there’s a pool, a dining deck, and privacy hedging.

In 2,600 square feet, there are four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, including a vaulted master suite with skylights and large windows.

William Renwick, Jane Holden, and Jessica von Hagn from Brown Harris Stevens represented the listing.

What do our readers think of the last asking price? Do you think the new owner got a deal or is the final sales price close to what you’d expect? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
