The metal-covered house at 70 Fairfield Pond Lane in south-of-the-highway Sagaponack first came on the market for $9.99 million in 2013. Eventually, that price came down to $8.75 million when it relisted in 2016, and over the next two years on the market it would cut more than $2 million more from the price tag.
Most recently asking $6,495,000 under Corcoran Group agent Susan Breitenbach, the 1985 contemporary house went into contract earlier this month and has sold.
The 5,000-square-foot house includes six bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, an open floorplan, vaulted ceilings, and skylights. Outside, the 1.4-acre property features a heated pool, a tennis court with a viewing pavilion, and a basketball court. It’s located about a mile from the ocean at Peter’s Pond, and about 2 miles south from Wölffer Estate Vineyard.
We love the interesting features and contemporary ’80s design to this Sagaponack house, but what do our readers think? What do you think of the price? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
