Located in north-of-the-highway Water Mill, a shingled home at 235 Narrow Lane has come on the market for $3.65 million—but it just sold earlier this year in May.

According to PropertyShark records, the 4,600-square-foot home sold in May of 2018 for $2,925,000 after being on the market for about a year. The Zillow price history shows that it was first asking $3.95 million when it listed in 2017, but steadily came down in price over the next year.

In 2002, the 1.4-acre property sold for $525,000 and the existing house was finished two years later in 2004.

The traditional style home offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a double-height foyer, a gas fireplace in the living room, and bay windows. A private terrace is sited off the mater suite, while the finished lower level includes 9-foot ceilings. Outside, there’s a heated gunite pool, a fire pit, privacy landscaping, an attached two-car garage, and a covered stone porch.

Brown Harris Stevens agent Chris Burnside represents the property. The home is about 4 miles north of the ocean at Mecox Beach, and about 1 mile east of the Hampton Jitney stop on Montauk Highway in Water Mill.

What do our readers think of the home? Why do you think it would go back on the market so quickly after selling in May? Tell us in the comments.
