Originally built in 1770, this renovated cottage has just 1,500 square feet of living space, making it the smallest one that we’re featuring in this week’s list. The two-bedroom, two-bath home sits on a comfortable 1.4 acres of land, so there’s plenty of room to add an additional house on the property if the buyer loves the history but needs more space.

In the renovation, the house got new windows, siding, a roof, wiring, plumbing, kitchen, and bathrooms. Features include a brick fireplace, a wood stove, sliding glass doors that lead outside, and a second-level master bedroom.

This 2,880-square-foot house was originally part of the Bowditch estate and was built back in 1850 as a bed and breakfast. Inside, there are nine bedrooms and three full bathrooms, a fireplace in the living room, a butler’s pantry, and an entertainment deck that leads right to the garden. A pool can be found outside.

Sited on over an acre of land, this three-bedroom, three-bath Shelter Island home has almost 2,500 square feet of living space inside. Features include cathedral ceilings, a fireplace, granite countertops in the kitchen, and a covered porch off the master suite. Outside, there’s an entertainment deck.

This charming 2,500-square-foot farmhouse on nearly an acre of land is on the market for $949,000. Built in 1947, the shingled house offers four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fireplace, a library with French doors that lead outside, and a mater suite with a spa-like bathroom. Outside, there’s a veranda, a pool, lattice fencing, and privacy hedging.

9 Fox Hollow Run: $850K

This 1990 contemporary home needs some work (especially in the kitchen), but it has a great wide open floorplan, hardwood floors, high vaulted ceilings, and a fireplace in the living room. Sliding doors lead to the deck out back—which is perfect for entertaining—and the pool. In 1,800 square feet, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a private balcony deck off the master suite.
