It’s only 1,100 square feet, but there’s room for expansion on nearly a half-acre of land

Many can agree that Hampton Bays is an up-and-coming Hamptons town, with close proximity to everything their east-of-the-canal neighbors have to offer but with more affordable properties.

Recently, a compact 1,100-square-foot cape-style home at 45 Bay Avenue West came on the market with an asking price of $559,000. Interiors include three bedrooms and two full bathrooms plus a full basement and room for a pool and expansion on 0.43 acres of land.

Built in 1950, the home offers hardwood floors, high ceilings in the living room, and sliding glass doors off one of the bedrooms that leads outside.

Ten years ago, the home sold for $405,000. The property is just 1.5 miles from Foster Avenue bars and restaurants and the Ponquogue Bridge, and about the same distance from the Hampton Bays train station.
