Curbed readers may remember this renovated farmhouse on Shelter Island that we featured just two months ago when it first landed on the market for $925,000. Now, the 1930 home is in contract.

Located at 53 North Cartwright Road, the move-in ready home offers 2,000 square feet, four bedrooms, and two and a half bathrooms on almost a full acre of land. Features include a fireplace in the dining room, French doors off the living room, and a covered front porch and back deck. There’s an ensuite master bedroom upstairs, an insulated pull-down attic, and a full basement.

Outside there’s no pool, but there is plenty of room for one on 0.9 acres.

When we first featured the home, one reader commented that they were disappointed at the lack of period details in the historic home.

It went into contract with the most recent asking price still at $925,000. It most recently sold in 2004 for $550,000. Gina Surerus from Corcoran Group Real Estate represents the listing.
