Earlier this week, we had readers try to guess the asking price of a north-of-the-highway Sagaponack home that recently came on the market. Listed for $2,995,000, most of our readers guessed correctly with 55 percent of the votes in the between $2.5 million and $3.5 million category.

Built in 2007, the 3,600-square-foot shingled home at 9 Ranch Court has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms on a full acre of land. Features include a gated entrance, an open floorplan, a double-height great room with a wood-burning fireplace, and a second-floor master suite with a spa-like bathroom.

An two-car garage is attached via a breezeway, and outside one will find a pool house with a wet bar and full bathroom, and a heated pool with a waterfall.

In 2005, the property was purchased as an empty lot or $970,000 before the current home was completed two years later. James Peyton from Corcoran represents the listing.

In our first post, our readers weren’t crazy about the design of the home. But now that the price has been revealed, let’s discuss the value of the property. Do our readers think that it will sell close to its nearly $3 million asking price? Or do you think that it will have to come down to entice a buyer? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
