Originally built in 1830, this Sag Harbor village Greek Revival home at 17 Suffolk Street went on the market just a few months ago in October—at which time, it got mixed reviews from our readers.
The 188-year-old home has been updated and renovated while still maintaining period details, and while some of our readers thought the home was “charming,” others had some criticisms on the home, particularly surrounding the choice of wallpaper throughout.
After listing just three months ago, the home has received its first change in price, cutting $500,000 from the asking price. Originally listed for $5,495,000, it is now available for $4,995,000, under Compass Real Estate agent Jonathan Milioti.
The 3,813-square-foot home is sited on half-acre corner lot, with four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Inside, there are a whopping seven fireplaces throughout, a gallery kitchen, double parlors, and a butler’s pantry off the dining room. Outside, one will find a heated gunite pool, a gunite spa, and a screened-in porch that would work well for outdoor dining.
In 2014, the home was purchased for $3.65 million.
