Harvey Weinstein has sold his Amagansett home on Broadview Road for $10 million, reports 27east. According to the report, the property was purchased under a company, Taisho Holdings Inc. Weinstein purchased the estate for $11.65 million in 2014.
Just two years after buying, Weinstein listed the property for $13.5 million in mid-2016, and over the next year and a half brought the listing down to $12.4 million, which was the most recent asking price.
The property also once belonged to filmmaker and television director Barry Sonnenfeld and his wife, Susan Ringo. Sonnenfeld directed notable films such as The Addams Family and Men in Black. The couple sold the property in 2003.
Built in 2000, the home has seven bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms. Interiors include an open floor plan, water views, a vaulted master suite with a private balcony, a fully-finished lower level with a gym, and a three-car garage. Most notably, the lower level also hosts a 3D-capable home movie theater with surround-sound speakers that can comfortably accommodate a group of friends.
On the exterior of the two-acre property, one will find a rooftop deck, a heated pool, and 260 feet of water frontage on Gardiner’s Bay.
