What/Where: A historic cottage in Sag Harbor village from 1830.
Size: 3,000 square feet, 0.24 acres.

This week on Curbed’s PriceSpotter, we’re having readers guess the listing price of this nearly-200-year-old Sag Harbor cottage, which sits right outside the village. Standing 3,000 square feet in size on a quarter-acre of land, there are four bedrooms and four full bathrooms inside the restored and renovated home.

Inside, period details have been maintained through the renovation, including four fireplaces and wide plank flooring—but newer features have been added as well. The kitchen has white marble countertops and a center island, professional grade stainless steel appliances, and a farmhouse sink.

French doors lead to the exterior, where one will find a dining terrace, a separate studio cottage with a full bathroom for guests, a heated saltwater pool, hammocks, a lounging area with a sun bed, and an outdoor shower.

Restored cottages from the 19th and 20th centuries practically define Sag Harbor’s village real estate market, but the prices could range from under $1 million to over $15 million—so we are curious to see how readers will think this home is priced.

In 2013, the home last sold for $1.25 million, but since it has since been restored and renovated, we’re going to start the guessing at $5 million.
