It’s a Bates Masi modern

Earlier this year in April, a new-build by Bates Masi Architects at 24 Fairfield Pond Lane came on the market under Corcoran Group Real Estate agent Susan Breitenbach for $14,995,000. It’s now down $1 million in asking price, putting it at $13,995,000.

Sitting 12,000 square feet, there are seven bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms on 4.34 acres of land south of the highway in Sagaponack, less than one mile from ocean beaches. Other features include a finished lower level, outdoor fireplace, pool, pool house, and tennis.

Before this house was under construction, the home on the property was an 8,000-square-foot structure with an asking price of $21.5 million in March of 2012, according to a previous article from Curbed.

The home then was removed later that year under a $17.5 million asking price, before it went back up for sale for $16.5 million in 2013. Finally, a year later, it sold for $14 million.

Now, after a teardown and a new construction under way on the property, the asking price is less than what it sold for three years ago.
