Water Mill home on Cobb Road taken off the market, long-term lease signed

It’s being rented by a software giant and his wife

The 8,500-square-foot home at 308 Cobb Road just came off the market due to renters signing on to a long-term lease. The renters—an unnamed software giant and his wife—have signed on to over a year at the manse for $900,000.

The signing of the long-term lease took the property off the market just before Labor Day. It was most recently listed for rent under Douglas Elliman agents Aaron Curti and Brenda Giufurta, and listed for sale with Corcoran Group Real Estate agent Gary DePersia for $12,995,000.

The property last sold in 2000 for $2.1 million. The home was then built in 2005, and went up for sale in 2009 for $14.95 million. Since then, the property has been removed and relisted several times due to rentals.

Last summer, the home was featured on our summer rental roundup for Water Mill, and ended up being rented out for the season for $650,000.

On two acres, there are seven bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, four fireplaces, a three-car garage, a heated pool, pool house, putting green, and sunken tennis court. Interior features include a wet bar in the dining room, a first floor master suite with fireplace, a fully-finished 4,500-square-foot lower level, a gym, and wine cellar.

There is also a two-bedroom, three-bath guest house on the property.

According to the rental listing, it was available to rent for the summer season from Memorial Day to Labor Day at $695,000, just June at $150,000, just July at $300,000, from August to Labor Day at $350,000, and for July and August at $595,000.
