Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the buyers of the East Hampton Pond House

So it’s technically a palace now, right?

Last week, Curbed broke news that the Pond House—located on Briar Patch Road in East Hampton—was finally purchased after eight years on the market for just under $26 million. It’s just been reported by Behind the Hedges that the buyers of the home are famed artists and power couple, Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

The Carters have rented in the Hamptons before, but have never officially purchased.

Located on an elevated two acres of land with 203 feet of water frontage on Georgica Pond, the 12,000-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Originally constructed by Stanford White, the home was renovated and enlarged over a three-year period by Jeffrey Collé.

The previous owner even had the home rotated 90 degrees to face west over the pond to maximize sunset views.

Beyoncé has most recently been helping with hurricane relief in her hometown of Houston after Hurricane Harvey, and just announced that she will be hosting a benefit concert for those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Irma at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The concert will be on Tuesday, October 17.

This is the first time she’ll be performing since giving birth to twins Rumi and Sir in June.

Given a queen will be living in the estate, we should probably start calling it the Pond Palace, right?
