We’ve all heard of open floor plans in living and dining rooms, but what about an open floor plan in a bedroom suite?

This 1,600-square-foot home at 195 Oak Street in Bridgehampton has a second-story master suite which has no separation between the bedroom and the bathroom, other than the enclosed toilet off to the side for some privacy.

Built in 1994 in a design combining Scandinavian influence and Hamptons lifestyle, the home has wide plank flooring throughout, an open floor plan in the living and dining spaces, and beamed cathedral ceilings in the living room. There is also a wood-burning fireplace both indoors and outdoors, as well as skylights and large windows.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms on 0.27 acres of land.

“I don’t get emotional with homes often, but this house always makes me smile when I walk in,” Compass listing agent Amadeus Ehrhardt told Curbed. “It’s a happy house.”

The home last sold in 2014 for $1.35 million, and has been available to rent since 2016. It is currently asking $1.7 million. Oak Street is located south of the highway, off Ocean Road. The property is located just under three miles from the ocean at Sagg Main Beach.
