Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can buy or rent in the Hamptons for a certain price.

Today, we’re looking at what $5 million will buy you in Sag Harbor.


71 Jermain Avenue, $4.995M

Built in 1900, this is the oldest home featured. There are four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms in 5,500 square feet of interior space on a one-acre lot.

The home has been recently renovated and features coffered ceilings, French doors that lead out to the wraparound porch, and a private terrace off the master suite. Stone terraces, a heated gunite pool, pool house, and fencing can be found outside.

The home was last sold in 2010 for $2.25 million. It came on the market in March of 2016 for $5.75 million, and has come down in price since.


208 Main Street, $4.995M

Another old home, this 3,000-square-foot residence was built in 1920 and has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The property is 0.63 acres. Completely renovated and restored, there are vaulted ceilings in the living room, a heated gunite pool, cabana, and detached two-car garage.

The home was last sold in 2006 for $2.9 million. It most recently went up for sale in March of 2016.


173 Bay Street, $4.95M

With a $4.95 million asking price, this is the least expensive home that we’re featuring. The 5,500-square-foot home has five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms on 0.55 acres of land.

Built in 2016, the home features a restored wood island top in the kitchen, French doors that lead out to the backyard, and a full master suite with a bathroom, attached study, and balcony. Outside, there’s a outdoor living space with a fireplace and heated pool.
