For those who need a little more space

Corcoran

The average home size in the United States is about 2,500-square-feet. But honestly, sometimes that just isn’t enough—especially in the Hamptons, where the real estate is larger than life.

Here are three Hamptons homes on the market with over 5,000-square-feet of living space.

128 West Prospect Street, Southampton

Located in Southampton, this newly built traditional style home has 7,800-square-feet and an asking price of $4.75 million. The house itself is actually 5,300-square-feet in size, but the finished lower level adds 2,500-square-feet. There are seven bedrooms and seven-and a-half bathrooms on 0.72 acres of land. Features include a double-height foyer, open floor plan, bluestone patios, gunite pool, spa, pool house, and wet bar.

The property was last sold in 2015 for $1.8 million, and came on the market in June of 2016 for $4.995 million.

199 Magee Street, Southampton

This newly constructed farmhouse has six bedrooms and six-and a-half bathrooms in 6,000-square-feet. The home is on a half-acre of land near Southampton village. The home is not finished yet so only renderings are available at this time, but according to the listing there will be cathedral ceilings, an open floor plan, and full lower level with outdoor entrance. There will also be two master suites and a detached one-car garage.

The asking price is $4.25 million.

58 Wireless Road, East Hampton

In 5,300-square-feet of space, there are six bedrooms and five-and a-half bathrooms in this East Hampton home asking $4.9 million. Features include three fireplaces, an attached garage, and French doors in the master suite leading out to the backyard. There is also a finished lower level, theatre, gym, and sauna.

The property was last sold in 2011 for $975,000.
