A newly built estate on Hedges Lane in Sagaponack came on the market under listing agents Terry Cohen and Danielle Lohr of Saunders Real Estate earlier this week. The property at 324 Hedges Lane sits south of the highway, about two miles from Sagg Main Beach.
The 9,067-square-foot home was designed by Michael Davis, whose résumé lists multiple luxury Hamptons homes in Sagaponack, Bridgehampton, and Wainscott. This particular home sits on 1.5 acres of land with eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms
Ocean views and glass doors can be found throughout the home, as well as a fireplace, wine wall in the dining space, custom cabinetry, and a private ocean view terrace off the master suite. The master suite also has views of a 43-acre agricultural reserve.
Amenities on the finished lower level include a media room, bar, laundry room (with laundry chute), mudroom, and an elevator that goes to all three levels of the home.
Outside, there’s a heated saltwater gunite pool, spa, pool house with pergola, sunken all-weather Deco Turf tennis court, bluestone terrace, and a built-in barbecue.
The property was last sold in 2015 for $7,575,000. There are quite a few homes for sale in the area that are also over the $10 million mark with similar square footage. The larger 231 Hedges Lane—which also has ocean views, a pool, and tennis court—is currently in contract under a $16,495,000 price.
But the question that often arises when discussing Hamptons real estate is worth asking: Is the price too high?
