Which is a 20 percent increase

The oceanfront home at 186 Dune Road in Quogue has been on the market for a few years and has seen a couple changes in price during its time up for sale. When it was listed for sale in June of 2015, the asking price was $11,995,00—and over the next year or so the home eventually went down in price to $9 million at its lowest.

In January of 2017, the price bumped up to $9,995,000, but now the asking price has risen back up to a solid $12 million under listing agent Kent Rydberg of Douglas Elliman—which is higher than it originally came on the market for two years ago.

The 1983 estate has eight bedrooms and nine-and a-half bathrooms in 9,000-square-feet. Described as an “architectural masterpiece,” the interior of the home was designed by Stephen Mallory.

The oceanfront home has an outdoor patio with pool and spa that overlooks the ocean, as well as roof terraces and windows that allow views to the bay across the street.

Robert Zion—who has done work with IM Pei and is responsible for the grounds of the Statue of Liberty and the Museum of Modern Art’s sculpture garden—is the landscape architect of this 1.4-acre property.

There are 4.2 acres of bayfront land across the street that can also be purchased with this property.
