East Hampton gutted cottage sells for higher than asking price

The home is totally gutted

The home at 4 Clinton Street in East Hampton is a gutted cottage that needs some serious work done, but someone decided to take on the project.

The 1975 cottage was listed for sale with Douglas Elliman for $425,000 in April of this year, went into contract less than two weeks of being on the market, and sold for $435,000 at the end of May. It sold for $10,000 above asking price.

Standing 1,600-square-feet, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms on a half-acre of land in the southeaster part of Springs in East Hampton.

Outside, there’s mature landscaping, a six-foot deer fence surrounding the property, a back deck for entertaining, outdoor shower, and spa.
