3 Hamptons homes with great guest houses

If you have a Hamptons house, it’s pretty common knowledge that you’re going to be getting some visitors every once in a while come summer. A guest house can be extremely useful when it comes to having visitors—or even to use as storage or a playhouse for the kids.

Check out these three Hamptons homes with great guest houses on the property—ones that we’d happily be guests in.

4616 Noyac Road, Sag Harbor

Saunders

On a one-acre lot in Sag Harbor, this home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,700-square-feet of living space.

The guest house here has a bathroom, kitchen, heat and air conditioning, and even a separate driveway—which would make it easy to rent out. There’s also a second additional building on the property that is currently being used as a gym.

The home was built in 1940 and was last sold in 1997 for $151,000. It went on the market this past May with an asking price of $1.6 million with Saunders Real Estate.

26 & 30 Short Beach Road, North Haven

With an asking price of $5,048,000, this North Haven home is the most expensive one featured here. There are seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms in 7,500-square-feet of living space on 1.2 acres of land. On the property, there is a main house, guest house, and pool house or garage.

The guest house here has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The pool house (separate from the guest house) features cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, a fireplace, and kitchen.

The home was built in 1996 and went on the market in September of 2014 for $6.25 million with the Corcoran Group. Since then, it’s gone down in price and has been listed with Douglas Elliman.

65 Prospect Street, Southampton

This century-old farmhouse has eight bedrooms and seven-and a-half bathrooms in 4,500-square-feet of total living space. The home is on 0.4 acres of land in Southampton, located near the train station and Southampton Social Club.

The guest house here has a living room, one bedroom, and two bathrooms, adjacent to the pool.

Built in 1882, this is the oldest house featured. The home was most recently sold in 2003 for $850,000, and before that in 2000 for $960,000. It went up for sale earlier this month with the Corcoran Group for $3.25 million.
