Bridgehampton property on the market for the fourth time in 10 years, asking a pinch under $9M

The structure on the property was built in 2011

The home at 373 Mitchells Lane in Bridgehampton just went up for sale through Corcoran Group Real Estate for $8,995,000. But it seems as though the property can’t stay in anyone’s hands for more than a few years at a time.

This is the fourth time that the property has been on the market in 10 years. In February of 2007, the property sold for $1.75 million. About two-and-a-half years later, it sold in November of 2009 for $1.25 million. Granted, this was pretty soon after the economic recession in 2008, so the selling price being lower is forgivable without raising too many eyebrows.

Then, the home was sold in January of 2013 for just over $5 million. The listing claims that the home was built in 2011, so it looks like the structure that currently stands was built between sells.

Now, just over four years later, it’s back on the market with almost a $4 million increase in asking price.

Is it just coincidence that the property hasn’t been held onto for more than a few years at a time? The home itself is beautiful. And it’s pretty safe to say that the home was equally as visually appealing the last time it was on the market in 2013, given that was only two years after the build was completed.

The 10,000-square-foot home is host to six bedrooms and nine-and-a-half bathrooms on a lot that’s just under an acre-and-a-half in total size.

The large eat-in kitchen has hardwood flooring and a sizable island with a sink. There are floor-to-ceiling windows that lead out to the backyard and pool area. The dining room also features floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that lead outside.

Communal spaces include a great room, sunroom, and media room. The finished lower level features a full gym.

The master bedroom features a large sitting area, while the master bathroom has a standalone soaking tub and dual sinks. The listing also states that there is a sauna, but doesn’t specify where in the house.

By the photo, it looks like the sauna might be in the master bathroom (next to the shower—is that door the sauna or a toiletry closet? Is there even a door there or is it just an illusion created by the wood paneling?), but logically speaking, the sauna could very well be located on the lower level with the gym.

Outside, one will find a heated pool, outdoor kitchen, patio, outdoor shower, and attached three-car garage.
