The home at 39 Bay Lane in Water Mill just went up for sale with Sotheby’s International Realty, asking $6.25 million.

The home, built in 1995, has been in and out of owners’ hands for a few years, having gone on and off the market several times since 2001. In 2001, it was sold for $2.9 million, before being listed again in 2010 at $4.9 million. It stayed on the market a little over a year and was sold in 2011 for $4.5 million.

Then it was listed in October of 2012 with an increase in its price tag, coming in with an asking price just under $6 million. It was sold less than a year later for $5.2 million. Finally, it’s been on and off the market a bit since 2015, starting with a listing price of $6,495,000 this time around.

At 4,700-square-feet on a one-acre lot, there’s a decent amount of size with this space. The home is located right on Mecox Bay—while it may not be the ocean, we can’t really complain here. It features a total of five bedrooms and five full bathrooms.

The living and dining spaces are designed in an open floor plan. To eat, one could choose the eat-in kitchen, dining room, or under the outdoor covered porch.

From the master suite, one will be able to look out to views over the reserve. There’s also an office area in the master suite.

Outside, in addition to the covered porch areas, there is a pool and lush landscaping throughout the property.
