Let’s face it: no one wants to drive to work. Commuting is always a pain, and it only gets worse in the summer. Plus, how nice would it be if you could wake up late and still be on time because you only had to walk right over to your place of employment?
Business owners often rent out the spaces that are attached to their commercial businesses as well. But many choose to live there, often for convenience.
Curbed has compiled four commercial listings with residential spaces, so you can live, you can work, or you can rent the space out.
So, let’s get to work, shall we?

The commercial space is designed for retail (as one will find that many places in the Hamptons are), offered with a separate cottage. All available for $2,995,000.
The retail space is 2,235-square-feet and features a full basement. The listing suggests that the space could be used as an art gallery, design studio, retail space, or even offices.
As far as the residential space is concerned, there’s about 1,000-square-feet of living space with two bedrooms and four bathrooms. It’s on a small property of 0.18 acres, but that can be expected with commercial/residential spaces.

Right on Division Street in Sag Harbor village, this building actually has four apartments. The commercial space is suited for one office, but with four apartments, the owner could easily rent out the space and easily make money that way.
The total size is 4,000-square-feet, but by the listing it looks like that’s the size for the entire building. The lot size is decent here, at half an acre. Total asking price is $3,900,000.

If someone is going to have a business in Southampton village, Hill Street is not a bad place for it to be. This building has 3,041-square-feet of commercial space on the first floor, while the residential space upstairs has 1,120-square-feet of living space.
For a two bedroom apartment, that’s not too bad of size. Total asking price here is $1,995,000. It looks like it could use some updates, but for the size and location, the price isn’t too bad.
150 Main Street, Sag Harbor

This building was actually built in 1810 and has kept a lot of the original features, like the five brick fireplaces and some of the ballast stone in the foundation. Altogether there are seven separate spaces among two buildings. There are three storefronts, a separate three-car garage that’s been converted into an art gallery, and an apartment on the second story with a roof deck.
It looks like the apartment is about 1,920-square-feet in size with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Though, it isn’t clear from the listing if those bathrooms are in the commercial spaces, too. There is private off-street parking in between the two buildings. Asking $4,500,000.
