There is something just so regal about a floating staircase

A home at 421 Cranberry Hole Road just went up for sale, asking $6,500,000.

The home was designed by John Laffey and built by John Hummel. The waterfront Amagansett home features five bedrooms, five baths, and sits around 5,000-square-feet.

What’s cool about this house is the floating staircase. Yes, floating staircases are found in luxury Hamptons homes pretty often, but this one sits smack dab in between the living room and kitchen area, breaking up the open floor plan. And it’s just so cool.

Floating staircases have something so regal about them—the winding floating staircases are often seen in grand entry foyers, that type of thing. But this one is just hanging out right in the middle of the house.

As can be expected from a waterfront home, there are beautiful views from almost every room in the house.
