Living in the Hamptons can be rather expensive, but it’s still possible to find a bargain. Thanks to NeighborhoodX, the most and the least affordable towns can now be determined thanks to a helpful graph.
"Rather than looking at median asking price, we looked at two metrics, both the asking price per square foot and the price range for each neighborhood," said NeighborhoodX Chief Constantine Valhouli.
According to Valhouli, the analysis excluded outlier properties where significant amounts of land may affect the apparent price per square foot of the built space.
The overall price range for the towns ranged from a little over $120 per square foot to approximately $2,200 per square foot. At the upper end of the range was Quogue, Napeague, and Southampton. At the lower end was Riverhead, Hampton Bays, and East Quogue.
