This is the first time the location will be used as a retail store

One Kings Lane, an interior design and home shopping store, just announced that they will be opening a store this summer in Southampton. This is One Kings Lane’s largest retail opening.

The retail shop will be in an iconic location—the former Rogers Memorial Library at 11 Jobs Lane. This is the first time that the historical space will be open to a retail store. The former library was built in 1895, designed by R. H. Robertson. Robertson was one of the most popular architects of the 19th century.

The store will only be open for the summer season, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.

Though the time frame for which clients will be able to experience the brand is short, the shop is offering services that are worth getting some time in before the summer is over. Clients will be able to use the space to speak with interior designers, do in-house consultations, and see the products available from One Kings Lane.

Clients can also schedule appointments with interior designers ahead of time, which would be a good idea if someone is considering consulting with the brand to do a larger-scale project. The in-house consultations would be good for smaller-scale questions—perhaps, such as if a client is stuck on which color to choose for a throw pillow.

One Kings Lane was launched in March 2009.
