The home at 216 Dune Road in Quogue, also known as “Sandcastle,” has been on and off the market since 2015, and now sits with an asking price of $19,700,000.

Since the estate was sold in 2008 at $7.1 million, it was rebuilt and transformed into what it is now. The home that currently sits on the property was finished in 2015, which is when it first went on the market, and it’s been listed and relisted several times. In December of 2015, the asking price was $24 million.

The price has changed a couple times since then, going down to a dollar under $20 million in July of 2016, and then down another $30 thousand, putting the asking price where it is now.

The structure has about 9,000-square-feet of living space on a lot that’s just under two acres. The home features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms.

With hardwood floors and white walls throughout, the home will be easily customizable by the future residents.

In particular, the kitchen is huge, and by the looks of the photos, features both an island for preparation and an island with breakfast seating. And lots of counter space, as one would expect in a kitchen with two islands.

The master suite looks to have a private balcony and full dressing room, along with a bathroom that has a stand-alone soaking tub. What’s particularly interesting about the master bathroom is the lighting detail that’s placed over the tub.

The home sits on the oceanfront side of Dune Road, so purchasing this house will also get the homeowner beach rights. The home also has a heated pool, hot tub, laundry room, library, media room, and office.
