New Montauk beach house hits the market, asking $3.25M

It may be small, but it sure is beautiful

The home at 1 North Surfside Avenue in Montauk just went up for sale, asking $3,250,000.

The home sits at a mere 2,000-square-feet, but has five bedrooms and two full baths in the small space. And looking at the photos, it seems like the space is fully utilized. The bedrooms don’t look too cramped, given the square footage of the home.

The structure was originally built in 1973, sitting on a 0.3-acre lot. So, yes, the space is small. But it’s a Montauk beach house.

While it certainly happens, Montauk isn’t exactly known for the grandiose style of expansive mansions that are found in East Hampton and on Meadow Lane. It’s known for its beach houses, and the beach houses just aren’t all that big.

The open floor plan found in the living area helps make the space seem much larger. The living room features double height ceilings and high sliding doors that bring the ocean breeze right into the home. The sliders open out to a mahogany deck that sits 860-square-feet in size.

The master suite features an ensuite bathroom and private balcony with ocean views.

Outside, one will find an outdoor shower and spa. There is room for a relatively small pool.
