Includes walls of glass—but not the way you think it does

A modern style East Hampton home on Three Mile Harbor just went on the market for $2,695,000.

The 3,000-square-foot home was built in 2008, designed by Jess Reeves at Nigel Lewis Design. It has bay and harbor views, sitting on a half-acre lot. The structure itself has four bedrooms, four-and a-half bathrooms, and two wood burning fireplaces.

The “glass house” design is pretty popular in modern home designs in the Hamptons and many other beach locations. But what’s great about this home is that it successfully makes walls of windows without losing the beachy feeling to extensive modern design.

It does this with white paneling on the windows in the main living space and master suite, rather than having one large wall of glass.

The surrounding greenery definitely helps, giving some added privacy—and just something beautiful to look at out of the many windows.

Outside, one will find a full outdoor kitchen and infinity pool. And the outdoor sitting space is just so cool. Imagine a sunny summer day out by the pool under the modern awning like that. Let’s talk about bliss.
