The deal closing the sale of the Amityville Horror house was made official on February 9, as reported by Newsday.
The 5,000-square-foot house was up for sale back in June for $850,000 -- while other similar houses in the area are reported to go for about $350,000 more. The house sold for $605,000, significantly below the original asking price. The seller of the house bought the property back in 2010 for $950,000.
The historical structure has five bedrooms and three-and a half-bathrooms. There’s a boat house in the back of the property.
