A shingled cottage with just 1,514 square feet of living space just listed under Saunders Real Estate agent Patty Oakley for $1,549,000. The home—located at 66 Halsey Street in Southampton village—has four bedrooms and two bathrooms on a 0.36-acre lot.

Features include hardwood floors, an eat-in kitchen, a bonus room that’s currently being used as a play room but could serve as a fifth bedroom, a bluestone patio outside, a three-car garage, and room for expansion or a pool.

We always love an old restored home, but we wish we saw some more period details in this home. The staircase looks to be from the original construction, but most of the structural interior features look new. The shingled exterior, blue front doors, and covered porch in the front of the home are beautiful and add great curb appeal.

Though, we’re curious about the garage. The garage is located in the backyard, but the driveway doesn’t extend to it, and one would need to drive across the backyard to store their car inside. If the new owner chooses to add a pool, they’d likely need to build a new garage off the driveway if they want to keep one on the property, or turn the current garage into a shed, pool house, or guest house.

The home was previously listed about two years ago in January of 2016 for $2.25 million. The price then came down a few months later to $2,195,000, but the listing was removed in July later that year.
