This week’s PriceSpotter was a 3,300-square-foot home plus a guest house on just over a half-acre of land in north-of-the-highway Water Mill. Most of our readers—about 31 percent—guessed that the asking price of the property was between $3 million and $4 million, but the home is actually priced at $2,195,000 under Saunders Real Estate agent Laura White.
About 28 percent of our readers voted in the correct range of between $2 million and $3 million, while 22 percent guessed over $4 million. Just 18 percent of people thought the home was just $2 million. One commenter acutely noted that the home is likely going to be torn down, and guessed the land value to be priced around $2 million.
In 3,300 square feet, there are four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half-bathroom in the main house, while the detached guest apartment has a full kitchen and bathroom. On 0.53 acres of land, the main house and guest house share an inground pool.
The property is located north of the highway, at 1041 Deerfield Road.
