Pondfront Sagaponack home relists for the same nearly $15M ask

But it sold in 2014 for $5.2M

Last summer, Curbed featured the home at 443 Sagg Road in Sagaponack, but there was something that we didn’t quite understand—the estate sold in 2014 for $5.2 million, but when it came back on the market two years later after renovations, it was asking $14,995,000.

The listing was later removed, and just this week the home has was relisted for the same asking price under Nest Seekers International Real Estate agent Geoff Gifkins.

The home is waterfront on Sagg Pond with 300 feet of direct water frontage and has a full two acres of land. Built in 2007, the home has been newly renovated (which would explain the increase in price, to an extent), and stands 6,100 square feet with six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and one half-bath.

Inside, one will find Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, pond views, three fireplaces, and a home theater with a drop-down screen. There are two master bedroom suites: one on the main floor, and one on the second. The primary second-floor master suite features a fireplace, private balcony, and bathroom with dual vanities, air-spa tub, glass enclosed shower, and marble flooring.

Exterior features include a dock, heated gunite pool, spa, waterfall, and koi pond.

While $15 million in south-of-the-highway Sagaponack isn’t unheard of by any stretch of the imagination, and the home was recently renovated, the price tag sticks out considering the nearby homes for sale.

Next door, the waterfront home at 471 Sagg Road is smaller at 2,400 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms on 1.5 acres of land, but the home is asking $5 million. At 361 Sagg Road, 10 acres of empty land is asking $19.75 million.

What do you think of the asking price?
