In July of this year, the home at 56 La Forest Lane in the Georgica section of East Hampton went on the market for $7.5 million under Sotheby’s International Realty agents Dana Trotter and Frank Newbold. After a little over two months up for sale, a contract was signed under the same listing price.
Now, after four months, the home has sold for $6.78 million—not too much under the original listing price.
Built in 1976, the 3,500-square-foot home has five bedrooms and four full bathrooms. The gated 1.07-acre property has hedges for privacy, specimen trees, and a heated pool. According to the listing, the property can yield a structure up to 5,461 square feet in size, so the new homeowner could potentially expand.
Interior features include a double-height living room with skylights, a breakfast nook in the kitchen, sliding glass doors that lead outside, and a fireplace.
What do you think the new homeowner will do with the space?
