Author Steven Gaines puts his Hamptons home on the market for $3M

Biographer Steven Gaines—who wrote Calvin Klein’s biography, Obsession: The Lives and Times of Calvin Klein—just listed his 3,200-square-foot home at 11 Westwood Road in Wainscott for $2,995,000, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The home was previously available for rent, priced at $70,000 per month.

On just under one acre of land, the home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. There’s a double-height great room, front porch, and a heated pool.

The modern style home has large glass doors off the living room that open out to the deck and pool area, an open floor plan between the living and dining spaces, and massive windows.

Possibly the most unique feature of the home is the greenhouse off the master bedroom—which has a sunken tub inside. All that humidity must be good for the plants, after all.

According to the New York Post, Gaines had lived in the home for 25 years, and is looking for a change. He also said that he’s maybe looking for something smaller out East.

The home is listed with agent Bonny Aarons of Douglas Elliman.
