Earlier this week, an adorable carriage house from 1930 at 174 Cedar Street in East Hampton listed under Sotheby’s International Realty agent Dana Trotter with $3.7 million. The home stands 5,500 square feet in size on 1.26 acres of land.

Cedar Street is located north of the highway, about two miles north of the village.

There are six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and one half bathroom, plus a great room, a sunroom, and even a breakfast garden. The kitchen, master bathroom, and two-bedroom in-law suite had recent renovations, bringing them up to date.

Outside, one will find a heated saltwater pool with underwater audio, a spa, bluestone patios, and pergola-covered patios and decks.

The one thing that we wish we saw more of in this home is period details. The home is almost 100 years old, but the interiors look as if they could belong to a structure that was built this year. While the renovations are certainly desirable and were probably necessary, we always love when details from the original construction stick around.

It was previously available to rent. According to Zillow, the rental prices range from $195,000 per month to $70,000 per month in the last year. The home last sold in 2014 for $3.85 million—meaning that it’s currently asking less than it sold for just three years ago.
