We love the fireplace in the entry foyer

Located at 504 Butter Lane in Bridgehampton, a 1,500-square-foot saltbox from 1987 came on the market last month under Sotheby’s International Realty agent Doreen Atkins.

The home sits on an acre of land north of the highway in Bridgehampton horse country, making the closest ocean beach just three and a half miles away off Ocean Road.

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms in the home, as well as a fireplace in the entry foyer, an open floor plan in the living and dining spaces, and a U-shaped kitchen.

It’s worth mentioning that the kitchen could use new counters and shelving as well as new stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms would also benefit from a facelift.

Outside, there’s a 20-foot by 40-foot pool and mature landscaping.

Other Butter Lane homes that are on the market are more expensive—but they’re also bigger. The home at 323 Butter Lane stands 4,500 square feet with six bedrooms and four bathrooms on 1.52 acres of land and has an asking price of $3,795,000.

Meaning, that home has 3,000 additional square feet and a half acre of more land, but it’s only asking a bit over $1 million more—and while it was built three years prior, it’s had recent renovations to bring the home up to date.

Given the work that needs to be done to this saltbox, we’re thinking the price will have to come down a bit before it sells.
