Last month, Curbed featured the new construction at 24 Fairfield Pond Lane, which at the time received a $1 million cut from its asking price after five months on the market. Just a month after its first change in price, the home has received another $1 million price cut, bringing it down to $12,995,000.
It came on the market in April under Corcoran agent Susan Breitenbach for $14,995,000. Before this new-build was underway, the home for sale on the 4.3-acre property was an 8,000-square-foot home with five bedrooms. It was listed for $21.5 million in March of 2012.
It then went down in asking price to $17.5 million, got a couple price cuts, and finally sold in 2013 for $14 million—meaning, at the current asking price, the 12,000-square-foot new construction is asking less than it was sold for just three years ago.
The Bates Masi-designed modern home has seven bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a finished lower level, outdoor fireplace, pool, pool house, and tennis.
