It came on the market for $8.85M

Back in 2014, Curbed covered the home at 4 Lockwood Lane in the estate section of East Hampton on a PriceSpotter. At the time, it was asking $8.85 million. Three years—and a few price chops—later, the home is in contract under Douglas Elliman listing agents Terry Thompson and Tania Deighton.

Rather than seeing a few large price cuts, this home saw many smaller price cuts, changing the price every few months. It’s steadily gone down in asking price, and most recently went from $5.5 million to $4,995,000 in September, which was the asking price when the contract was signed.

After the most recent price cut, almost four million has come off the asking price in total since it came on the market three years ago.

The home has 4,400 square feet of living space on one acre of land, with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and one half-bath. Located south of the highway, the property is less than a quarter-mile from the ocean at Main Beach, or just a five-minute walk.

Designed by Francis Fleetwood and built in 1987, the home has undergone renovations since it was first constructed. There are two separate wings in the home, allowing for privacy when guests visit. Outside, there’s a heated saltwater gunite pool and a pool house with full bathroom.
