Jackie Kennedy’s East Hampton summer home, Lasata, has been up for sale since May of this year. Located at 121 Further Lane, the main house was being offered alongside a four-acre empty lot, either together or separately. The empty four-acre lot—whose address is at 40 Middle Lane—has just gone into contract, reports Behind the Hedges.
Most recently, the asking price on the four-acre parcel was just under $12 million, by itself. The main house received a price cut just last month, bringing it down to just under $30 million—and that is still for sale, still with the same asking price. Originally, both the empty four-acre parcel and the seven-acre property with the main house were listed for a combined price of $51.99 million.
Technically the lot isn’t totally empty—there is a grass tennis court on the land. On the four acres, one can build a structure up to 10,000 square feet in size, plus a pool and a pool house.
The property is listed under Douglas Elliman agents Carol Nobbs and Eileen O’Neill, Susan Breitenbach of Corcoran Group Real Estate, and Peter Turino at Brown Harris Stevens.
Lasata’s main house stands 8,500 square feet on just over seven acres of land, with 10 bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. The owners fully renovated the estate after purchasing it in 2007 for $20 million.
