In September 2009, “Today Show” host Matt Lauer purchased a roughly 1,800-square-foot Cape Cod-style cottage in Southampton for $2.15 million. Recently, Variety reported that he sold the three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage for $3.5 million.
Some of the features that the new homebuyer will enjoy include cathedral ceilings, a white brick fireplace, and a modern all-white kitchen. There’s also a wrap-around deck that overlooks the nearby waterfront and private boat dock. The listing is located on a three-quarter-acre parcel of land.
According to Variety, Lauer also owns homes in New York City’s Upper East Side, Strongheart Manor near Sag Harbor, and Brightside Farms in the Water Mill area of the Hamptons.
