Matt Lauer is so over his Noyack home. After purchasing Richard Gere’s beautiful North Haven estate, and selling his North Sea cottage quickly, he put his large main house on the market in July for $17.995M.
Now it’s two months later and the Lauers have cut the price by $1M. We didn’t think it was going to be an easy sale, just because the property is unique and Noyack isn’t the toniest location.
There’s 25 acres of land, which comprise two lots, 15 acres with the house on it and a 10-acre building lot. Outside, there’s a huge 70'x20' gunite pool with pool house and a tennis court. The rolling green lawns and pretty gardens were designed by Miranda Brooks.
The house itself is 8000 square feet, with six bedrooms and 6.5 baths. We just absolutely love the interiors by designer Muriel Brandolini. Fabulous lighting fixtures, bold use of color and pattern (including hand-painted wallpaper), and classic midcentury furniture make for a gorgeous home. Surely someone will fall in love with the place soon and make an offer.
